The primary function a backup system is to allow for quick and flexible restores; however, it’s important not to underestimate the value of the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your files, folders, partitions, mailboxes, messages, and databases are secure should the unthinkable occur. In the face of a complete server failure, CIRC supports bare-metal restores (new or different hardware/servers) even if its configuration and drivers are different from the failed system. Thanks to an incremental backup system that updates every 15 minutes, CIRC can restore files – including multiple versions of the same file— from any point in time. This level of forensic and auditable data recovery satisfies various regulatory requirements (such as HIPPA & GLBA) for data retention and data record reconstruction.
Complete Image: Intuitive & Flexible Restoration
CIRC generates an exact digital duplicate of your server via a block-level image of all of your hard drive partitions. The data is AES-256 encrypted and compressed before being stored physically at your location. CIRC utilizes block instead of file level backup to increase efficiency and reduce errors. With block transfer, data is captured at the binary level. This raw data is immune from imposing file structures, is not affected by open files or databases, and is the most efficient way to write to a disk.
